(Buteo nitidus)

The majestic Gray Hawk measures 15" to 17" and is solitary by nature. He perches quietly, high on leafy trees, constantly searching for his prey; rodents, birds, snakes and insects. The Gray Hawk can be seen over most forested areas in Trinidad and parts of South America and as far as south west USA.





G R E E N   H E R O N
(sicalis flaveola)

The exotic Green Heron measures up to 18" and can be found in mangroves, salt and fresh water marshes and coral beaches. The Heron can be seen looking for its prey in the rice fields and mangroves in central Trinidad and parts of Tobago.
